This series of testers is used for testing keypads, touch screens, switches, buttons, keyboards, and many other touch activated products.
Our standard finger can be replaced with your pressing device such as a stylus for tablet drawing simulation or other simulations. It can be used for a variety of applications that involve vertical pressing and sliding motions. Mounting configuration for your probe will need consideration.
Using the high-quality moving coil technologies, the vertical finger presses have controlled forces and target velocities with values set by the user. The optional slide function is available to simulate a finger press with a horizontal slide. Vertical forces are maintained during each press and slide movements. This force and velocity technology is unmatched with traditional pneumatic and electronic actuators.
If used with our capacitive fingers, it can activate capacitive touch screens including the press and swipe motion to test typical smart phone and tablet devices. By adding abrasive wool around the finger, a simulated finger abrasion can be introduced to your sample during the press and slide.
Easy user settings allow multiple touch locations across the X-Y specified area with user specified cycles per location. This is useful for high cycle pressing with up to 100 press locations, or 50 press and slide locations. The cycle profile can be set to repeat for your long life cycle testing and testing multiple samples during the same test set-up.

Specifications
Standard Vertical Load settings: User defined between 150 grams to 1000 grams. There is an 800-gram continuous load capacity. For loads above 800 grams, there must be a 20% reduction in actual load pressing time per cycle to compensate for the load capacity. (Optional actuator capacities are available).
Clear Height of Gantry: 4 inches
Cycle rate and Velocities: 1 to 3 cycles per second. Actual velocity and rates vary depending on the load and velocity configuration. (Additional actuator data is available)
Delay at End of Stroke: Programmable end of stroke delay.
Actuator Stroke Movement (Vertical): Maximum 25mm.
User Interface: Touch Panel HMI
Actuator Type: Moving Coil Actuator (long life and quiet operation)
Calibration process: User can perform calibration with the use of a user supplied scale to verify loads
X-Y Travel: Maximum of 500mm(X) x 400mm(Y) — (Smaller travel options available per request)
X-Y locations: Up to 100 X-Y movement locations programable by the user.
Manual Operation: The actuator can be manually controlled by the user to align the finger to proper locations using manual control buttons.
USB Data Output/Input: Test settings and the collected test data can be exported to a USB drive in CSV format. The test settings can be imported via CSV format.
Continuity Activation Input Ports: M8 connection ports can be used to detect continuity through the tested switch contacts. The tester uses 24vdc circuit for input detection. Relays recommended to be used to interface with the customer circuits.
