These Real Touch™ test probes are designed to be used for cycle testing of switches, buttons, keypads, keyboards, and membrane switches. Life cycle testing and even cosmetic wear testing can be achieved. These finger test probes can be used with our Pneumatic Finger Testers and Motion Pro Testers. They can also be used for your own custom designed tester, other life cycle and fatigue testers, or switch and bounce testers.
Any time a simulated finger press is required, our standard silicone finger test probes should be considered. Our Real Touch probes conform to ASTM 1578 and ASTM 1597 Fig. 1 or Fig. 2. The test probes are available in a variety of mounting thread options. The hardness and dimensional aspects of the test probes are maintained and tested to match these standard button and switch testing specifications.
These Real Touch conductive test probes/finger probes are unique because they allow electrical current to pass through them. Any time a simulated finger press is required, our conductive finger test probes should be considered. These probes conform to ASTM 1578 and ASTM 1597 Fig. 1 or Fig. 2. The test probes are available in a variety of mounting thread options. The hardness and dimensional aspects of the test probes are maintained and tested to match these standard button and switch testing specifications.
Various fabrics are used on our Real Touch Finger Probes to simulate the natural abrasive character of a human finger. These fabrics are wrapped around the finger probes and held in place with a probe clamp. We offer a regular Woven Wool fabric for simulating the abrasion and friction of a human finger, and we offer a knitted cotton fabric with an integrated silver yarn that has conductive properties and works with capacitive touch screens. Fabrics can be cut to size and held in place with our probe clamps.
